By choosing to add a hard disk later, we have the option to choose to add a fixed size disk. In the properties of your Hyper-V VM, choose SCSI Controller and then select Hard Drive and click the Add button.

If your client is Windows XP, then using SCSI disks doesn’t work, because there is no driver. If your client has no internet access you can’t find a driver. Adding virtual drives can only be done via IDE and so no USB flash drives can be added.
